About
Springfield Art Museum Project Bag Volunteers will help assemble approximately 700 all-in-one art kits with guidance and support from The Springfield Art Museum staff. Tasks may include, but not limited to, stamping bags, collating and stapling papers, organizing art supplies. This work will be done at the Museum Education Offices, located downtown, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 AM to 5 PM, depending on staff and volunteer availability.
FREE Take-Home Project Bags are designed for participants ages 3-12 (or those young at heart). Project Bags contain detailed project guidelines and all materials necessary to complete 1 project (1 Project Bag serves 1 participant). Projects are inspired by artworks, artists, or artistic practices represented in the Museum's permanent collection. Guidelines also include suggestions for how to repurpose and/or recycle materials.
The Museum produces 4 Project Bags per year (1 per quarter) on the following distribution cycle: February/March; May/June (collaborative Project Bag with Environmental Services); August/September; and November/December.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks like sorting, stapling, or stamping
